in the tiniest house of time....
Ô servant, where do you seek Me ?
Lo ! I am beside you.
I am neither in temple nor in mosque.
I am neither in Kaaba nor in Kailash.
Neither am I in rites and ceremonies
Nor in Yoga and renunciation.
If you are a true seeker
you will at once see Me
You will meet Me
In a moment of time.
Kabir says : Ô Sadhu !
God is the breath
Of all breath.
Are you looking for me? I am in the next seat.
My shoulder is against yours.
you will not find me in the stupas, not in Indian shrine
rooms, nor in synagogues, nor in cathedrals:
not in masses, nor kirtans, not in legs winding
around your own neck, nor in eating nothing but
vegetables.
When you really look for me, you will see me
instantly —
you will find me in the tiniest house of time.
translated by Robert Bly in The Kabir Book
May you dwell in the sacred universe of the Heart….

I love Kabir; and this reminds me of his simple verse:
lalee mere lal kee,
jit dekhoon tith lal
lalee dekhan main gayee
main bhee ho gayee lal
~~~
When I went looking for the beauty of my beloved [God]; I saw that it was everywhere I looked. I found that i too had become colored by its beauty [loose translation]
I love this part:
“God is the breath
of all breath.”
God is the mind of all mind, the heart of all hearts, the liberation of all liberation.
And breathless.
Thank you.
Namaste. _/\_
