Rivers and Tides

River and Tides (extraits 1)

Hokusai says

Hokusai says look carefully.
He says pay attention, notice.
He says keep looking, stay curious.
He says there is no end to seeing

He says look forward to getting old.
He says keep changing,
you just get more who you really are.
He says get stuck, accept it, repeat
yourself as long as it is interesting.

He says keep doing what you love.

He says keep praying.

He says every one of us is a child,
every one of us is ancient
every one of us has a body.
He says every one of us is frightened.
He says every one of us has to find
a way to live with fear.

He says everything is alive --
shells, buildings, people, fish,
mountains, trees, wood is alive.
Water is alive.

Everything has its own life.

Everything lives inside us.

He says live with the world inside you.

He says it doesn't matter ifyou draw,
or write books. It doesn't matter
ifyou saw wood, or catch fish.
It doesn't matter if you sit at home
and stare at the ants on your veranda
or the shadows of the trees
and grasses in your garden.
It matters that you care.

It matters that you feel.

It matters that you notice.

It matters that life lives through you.

Contentment is life living through you.
Joy is life living through you.
Satisfaction and strength
is life living through you.

He says don't be afraid.
Don't be afraid.

Love, feel, let life take you by the hand.

Let life live through you.

Thank you for introducing me to Andy's creativity expressed through his amazing works of environmental sculpture. I really enjoyed watching him at play!

I could really connect with what he says about needing time alone and how if he's really honest he does find being with people draining. This is often my experience also. I think the way we have been conditioned to connect  may be part of the reason for this. It takes a lot of energy to keep presenting and representing what is really just an image, a persona in fact. We connect socially oftentimes as a means of distraction, a way of escaping from ourselves. I share this as several years of living with chronic illness forced me to face my fear of being alone and eventually discovering the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
Now I find that I relish and need solitude and am becoming more and more discerning about who's company I keep.

Watching those videos I felt the creative juices flowing..loved the land art.
Often times when I go to the beach I find myself collecting and creating something from the natural world and revelling in the joy of creating something that I have no attachment too.

Hope you don't mind me crossposting the inspiring poem . I have added a link back to you.

Blissings and thank you for this very cool blog….

Hello Anna, Andy captures so beautifully, impermanence and the grace of

this earth, our very precious living and breathing museum. I love his

gratefulness.

sending love.
Thank you for visiting Christos, and yes I too, identify with

One's soul. And please dear, share anything you would like from this blog..

Beautiful and inspiring, through his art he seems to connect to his true self - like a lot of artists do. The inspiration always seems to come out of ''no where''.
Infinite fragile shapes and forms, I like the fact that they are not meant to last, which points to the impermance of all things.
Thank you
Katerina
